I received this DVD at an excellent time. We had some terrible weather come along and school was canceled for several days. This gave me and my kids some time to catch up on our DVD watching.
One of the DVD’s we watched was Paw’s & Tales: God Cares for You. 4 out of 5 stars!
My 4 year-old son actually sat down and watched the whole video. He is not much for conversation, so he didn’t have much to say about the video. But the fact that he sat through the entire video says that he enjoyed it. My 8 year-old daughter watched and really enjoyed it. She watched it twice in fact. When I asked her what she learned she acted like I was being ridiculous and said, “That God loves me, duh!” It is based on Psalm 23:1 and Proverbs 10:25, and really teaches kids that God loves them without beating it into them. Her favorite character was Staci. She watched both of the episodes and asked if I had the others. My dear daughter thought it was very entertaining and watched it twice during the two snow days we had off from school.
As for me, I liked the videos. I’m not a huge cartoon guy but these are not bad. My favorite part was the message and the story. My kids aren’t worried about production value, dialogue, or things like that. They like good stories. Stories captivate them. Therefore, I love when my kids can watch a good story with a great message. Because of the good story and the great message I recommend these videos. If you have young children these videos provide a biblical message in a way they can understand and enjoy.
