My Lenten commitment.

210 words

I’m joining with thousands of facebookers and have decided to give up something for 40 days. I’m not sure why all of these people are giving stuff up but I’m thinking about trying to tie it in with my Christian faith. 40 seems like a biblical number and I think Jesus said something about sacrifice… I’ll think about it. [note to self: find out why people are misspelling lint and throw away lint from dryer]

Anyway, back to the point. My 40 day commitment is to NOT stop anything. I will continue everything I already do for 40 more days. This involves all the dumb stuff I do and would really like to quit as well. This is going to be a challenge. I love change so this will be a tough one for me. So, for 40 excruciating days I will stick the same routine. I am giving up on giving things up.

Let’s get real though, I’m not going to stick to this religiously… Honestly, it’s just in support of my facebook friends who gave up facebook for 40 days. If I’m really truthful I’m pretty sure I could do whatever I want and they would never know. Why? Because they giving up facebook. Suckers!

I love lent, I can do whatever I want….
